Ferndale's Portal Way will see new Business Park

Ferndale developer Ken Tiderington calls Portal Way Ferndale’s forgotten zone. Not much development is going on there, and it’s one of the last places any shopper goes to look for anything, he said. But Tiderington, owner of Crown Point Holdings, has a plan to change that. He hopes to begin construction on his Crown Court Estates development, a mix of commercial and residential uses, later this year. He expects to have his final round of permits in hand in a month or so, and the first four of the planned buildings will start springing from the earth shortly thereafter, he said.
