Welcome to Deming, Washington located about 10 miles east of Bellingham, Washington. Deming is one of the last Towns before taking the long road to Mount Baker and the National forest and park. The main road that travels thru Deming is the Mt Baker Highway, which continues all the way to Mt. Baker and ends at beautiful Artisin Point.
The Deming area is where both the north fork of the Nooksack River and the south fork meet to carry all the mountain water on it's journey to the Bellingham Bay. Deming is home to the Mount Baker Vineyards on the Mt. Baker Hwy. They were recently featured in a Northwest Living article for being one of Whatcom Counties premier wineries.
The Deming real estate market offers homes in rural settings, and usually on large lots or acreage. A quick look at Deming property listings and most of the properties for sale are on acreage. If you search in the Kendall, Peaceful valley, Mapple Falls, Glacier, or Acme Valley area there are a lot of homes for sale in the $50,000 to $250,000 range. Several of the property listings are located organized communities on small lots.
Deming area school age kids attend the Mount Baker School District which covers a wide area of the east Whatcom County. Elementary age kids attend either Acme Elementary School, Harmony Elementary School, or Kendall Elementary School. Older kids attend Mount Baker Junior High School and Mount Baker High School.
